BERG PlayBase Guide: Frames, Sets and Accessories
Four frames from €999, ready-made sets from €1,038, and accessories you can swap as the children grow.
What the PlayBase is
The BERG PlayBase is a steel climbing frame, powder-coated over a zinc layer, with a run of monkey-bar rungs across the top. Accessories hang from carabiner points on the frame and can be swapped, so the same frame can carry swings one year and gym rings or a boxing bag later. It comes in Black or Green.
Every frame is 1m deep and 2.45m high, takes a maximum total load of 400kg, is for ages 3 and up and is CE marked. The frame warranty is 10 years, or 13 years when you register it with BERG.
The four frames
The frames differ in width, and so in how many accessories they carry at once. The Wall fixes to a load-bearing brick or block wall, such as a house, garage or solid shed; it cannot go on a fence, a timber panel or a hollow partition. The Medium, Large and Extra Large are free-standing, held by base sections anchored in the ground. No concrete is needed.

- Teenagers and adults: the pull-up bar, dip bar, boxing bag, fitness rope and resistance bands are for ages 14 and over.
- Anyone who does not want to treat or stain a frame: steel needs neither.
