Trampoline Buying Guide for Dublin Gardens
Four decisions settle which BERG trampoline you buy: how it sits in the garden, its shape, its size and its range. This guide takes them in that order, with prices from the shop.
1. Above ground, InGround or FlatGround
BERG makes the same trampolines in three ways of sitting in the garden.
Above ground
On legs. BERG calls these Regular. Every above-ground model is sold with a safety net, and there is no groundwork.

Set into the lawn with a low raised edge. Sold with or without a safety net. Made in Favorit, Champion and Elite.

FlatGround
Completely level with the lawn, so there is no step up and no ladder, and the view of the garden stays open. Made in Champion, Elite and Pro Bouncer.

An InGround or FlatGround needs a hole dug, which is done by an installer, landscaper or builder who looks at your garden and quotes. We do not install, but we can put you in touch with an independent installer. The InGround and FlatGround guide covers the differences and the questions to ask.
2. Shape
BERG's names tell you the shape: Grand is oval, Ultim is rectangular, and a model with neither word is round.
- Round, from €339. The widest choice of sizes: 200, 270, 330, 380, 430cm across.
- Oval (Grand), from €929. Sizes 350, 470, 520cm long. Above ground or InGround; there is no oval FlatGround.
- Rectangular (Ultim), from €549. Longer than it is wide, which can suit a narrow lawn. Pro Bouncer is made only as a 16 x 10ft rectangle or a 16 x 16ft square, and BERG's AeroWall stunt wall fits rectangular FlatGround models only.
3. Size
The number in a BERG name is the size in centimetres, so a 430 is 430cm, or 14ft. A trampoline also needs free space around it. BERG's manual gives the free space each model needs, and we check it against your garden in the consultation rather than quoting a rule of thumb here.
Measure the lawn, note anything overhead or close by such as trees, walls, sheds and washing lines, and take a couple of photos. If the garden is tight, see trampolines for small gardens.

4. Range
There are four ranges. The table shows BERG's own specification for each and the starting price in each type. Favorit, Champion and Elite carry the CE mark and the GS mark.

- Favorit. BERG's entry range. Available InGround and above ground; not made as a FlatGround.
- Champion. The middle range. Round, oval or rectangular.
- Elite. Champion's springs and mat with heavier frame tubing and a 5 year padding warranty.
- Pro Bouncer. BERG's top range. 16ft rectangular or square, FlatGround or above ground, rated for users up to 120kg.
Champion and Elite share the same springs and mat. Elite differs in its heavier frame tubing and its padding warranty, which is 5 years against 2 on Champion. Pro Bouncer is rated for users up to 120kg.

Common questions
What size trampoline do I need?
It depends on the space you have and who will use it. BERG's manual gives the free space each model needs around it. Send us rough measurements and a couple of photos in the free garden consultation and we will check which sizes fit.
What is the difference between Favorit, Champion and Elite?
Favorit is BERG's entry range, with SoloSpring springs and a frame warranty of 8 years. Champion has TwinSpring springs, the AirFlow Pro mat and a frame warranty of 13 years. Elite has the same springs and mat as Champion with heavier frame tubing and a 5 year padding warranty instead of 2.
Do all BERG trampolines come with a safety net?
Above-ground models are all sold with a safety net. InGround and FlatGround models are sold with or without one, depending on the model. A BERG name that includes SPORTS is supplied without a net.
What do Grand and Ultim mean?
They are BERG's names for shapes. Grand is oval and Ultim is rectangular. A model with neither word in its name is round.
How much should I budget?
BERG trampolines on this site run from €339 to €4,999. Above-ground models with a net start at €449, InGround at €339 and FlatGround at €699. For an InGround or FlatGround, allow for the installer's groundwork on top, which is quoted separately by whoever does it.
